Tortona Basketball Team is an Italian professional basketball team based in Tortona, Piedmont. The team currently plays in Serie A2, the Italian second division. The club was founded in 1979 and has been a mainstay of the Italian professional leagues ever since. They have won the Italian championship twice, in 1982 and 1984, and captured the FIBA European Cup in 1983. The team is known for its passionate fan base and has been featured in several documentaries about Italian basketball. Virtus Bologna is an Italian professional basketball club based in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna. The club competes in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A, and is one of the most successful teams in the history of European basketball, having won three EuroLeague titles, nine Italian League championships, and six Italian Cup titles. The club is owned by Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna S.p.A., a public company which also owns the Virtus Pallacanestro Segafredo Bologna, also based in Bologna. The team's home games are played at the PalaDozza arena (capacity 8,650 seats). The club's current head coach is Sasha Djordjevic.
