Sporting Kansas City FC is an American professional soccer club based in Kansas City, Missouri. The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. Sporting Kansas City was founded in 1995 as a charter team in the league, then known as the Kansas City Wiz. The team was rebranded as Sporting Kansas City in 2011. The club plays its home matches at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas.
