Hannover 96 FC is a German professional football club based in Hanover, Lower Saxony. The club was founded in 1896 and currently plays in the Bundesliga, the top tier of the German football league system. The club's official colours are black, white and green and their home stadium is the HDI-Arena in Hanover. Hannover 96 have won the German championship once, in 1938, and the German Cup once, in 1992. The club has also reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup once and the final of the DFB-Pokal once.
