Shakhtar Donetsk FC is a Ukrainian professional football club based in the city of Donetsk. The club was founded in 1936 and plays in the Ukrainian Premier League, the top division of Ukrainian football. The club has won twelve Ukrainian Premier League titles, five Ukrainian Cups and one Ukrainian Super Cup. Shakhtar has also won the UEFA Cup in 2009 and the UEFA Super Cup in 2008. The club is one of the most successful and popular teams in Ukraine, having a large fanbase both within Ukraine and abroad. Real Sociedad Football Club is a professional football club based in San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain. The club was founded in 1909 and currently competes in La Liga, the top division of Spanish football. They have won the La Liga title twice, in 1981 and 1982, and the Copa del Rey twice, in 1909 and 1987. The club also has a long-standing rivalry with Athletic Bilbao, with whom they contest the Basque derby.
