Rotherham United Football Club is an English professional football club based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The club competes in League One, the third tier of the English football league system. Nicknamed "The Millers", the club was founded in 1925 and initially played in the Midland League. They joined the Football League in 1925 and have since spent all but one season in the English football league system.
