They have won the Segunda División, Segunda División B and Tercera División on several occasions, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey in 1994. They have also competed in the UEFA Cup, UEFA Champions League and Intertoto Cup. The team's traditional home kit is blue and white vertical stripes and they play their home matches at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere. Rayo Vallecano Football Club, also known as Rayo Vallecano or simply Rayo, is a Spanish football team based in Vallecas, in the neighbourhood of Madrid. The club was founded in 1924 and currently plays in La Liga, the top tier of Spanish football. Rayo Vallecano is known for its strong local identity and passionate supporters. The team has won the Segunda División on two occasions and reached the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey three times.
