Clermont Foot FC is a professional French football club based in Clermont-Ferrand, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The club was founded in 1911 and currently competes in the Ligue 2, the second tier of French football. Clermont Foot have qualified for the UEFA Cup twice, in 2005 and 2016. The team plays its home matches at the Stade Gabriel Montpied, located in the commune of Clermont-Ferrand. The club has won the Championnat de France Amateur and the Championnat National, the third and fourth tiers of French football, respectively.
