Ipswich Town Football Club is an English professional football club based in Ipswich, Suffolk. The club was founded in 1878 and currently competes in the EFL Championship, the second tier of the English football league system. The team plays its home matches at Portman Road Stadium, which has a capacity of 30,311. Ipswich has won the English Football League Championship twice, in 1961–62 and 1980–81, and the FA Cup once in 1977–78. The club has also competed in the UEFA Cup, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Intertoto Cup. The club's traditional colours are blue and white.
