Manchester United Football Club is an English professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester. The club was founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, and changed its name to Manchester United in 1902. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football, and has won 20 league titles, a record 12 FA Cups, five League Cups, and a record 21 FA Community Shields. The club has also won three UEFA Champions League titles, one UEFA Europa League title, one UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, one Intercontinental Cup, and one FIFA Club World Cup.
Crystal Palace Football Club is an English professional football club based in Selhurst, London. The club plays in the Premier League, the highest tier of English football, and competes in all three domestic cup competitions. Crystal Palace was founded in 1905 at the famous Crystal Palace Exhibition building by the owners of the FA Cup Final stadium which was situated inside its historic grounds. The club were forced to leave the Palace in 1915 due to the outbreak of World War I, but returned to their home ground in 1924. The club has been a member of the top flight of English football since the 1969-70 season, spending four seasons in the Second Division and 27 seasons in the First Division. Crystal Palace have won the FA Cup twice, in 1990 and 2016.
