The team was established in 1996 and has a rich history of success, including multiple MLS Cup championships. D.C. United FC plays their home matches at Audi Field and has a passionate fan base known as the Screaming Eagles.
Columbus Crew FC is an American professional soccer club based in Columbus, Ohio. It competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. The Crew began play in 1996 as one of the ten charter clubs of the league. The team is owned by the Haslam family, along with the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League. The Crew won their first MLS Cup championship in 2008 and also won the 2002 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and the 2004, 2008, and 2009 Supporters' Shields. The Crew has qualified for the MLS Cup playoffs twelve times in their history, winning the Eastern Conference Championship in 2015 and 2020. The team's head coach is Caleb Porter.
