Cruz Azul FC is a professional Mexican football club based in Mexico City that competes in the Liga MX, the top tier of Mexican football. The club was founded in 1927 and has won the Mexican Primera División eight times, the CONCACAF Champions League five times, and the Campeón de Campeones once. The team has also appeared in two FIFA Club World Cup editions. The team's traditional colors are blue and white.
Tigres UANL FC is a Mexican professional football club based in San Nicolás de los Garza, a city in the Monterrey metropolitan area. The club was founded in 1960 and currently plays in the Liga MX, the top tier of Mexican football. They have won seven league championships, four CONCACAF Champions League titles, two Copa MX titles, and one Campeón de Campeones. They are one of the most successful and popular clubs in Mexico and all of Latin America. Their home stadium is the Estadio Universitario, which has a capacity of over 40,000.
