Cardiff City FC is a professional football club based in Cardiff, Wales. The club competes in the English Football League Championship, the second tier of English football, and has played its home matches at Cardiff City Stadium since 2009. The club was founded in 1899 as Riverside A.F.C., and adopted its current name in 1908. It is one of only two Welsh clubs to have played in the Premier League, joining Swansea City in 2011–12, and the only Welsh club to have reached the final of a major European competition, the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1968.
Manchester United Football Club is an English professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester. The club was founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, and changed its name to Manchester United in 1902. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football, and has won 20 league titles, a record 12 FA Cups, five League Cups, and a record 21 FA Community Shields. The club has also won three UEFA Champions League titles, one UEFA Europa League title, one UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, one Intercontinental Cup, and one FIFA Club World Cup.
