Brindisi is a city in southern Italy and home to a professional basketball team, Virtus Pallacanestro Brindisi. The team plays in the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), the first division of Italian basketball. The team has won 3 Italian championships, in 1998, 2000, and 2002. They also won the Italian Cup in 2005. They have also been runners-up in the Italian Cup in 2008 and the EuroCup in 2020. The team is one of the most successful in Italian basketball and has featured players such as Dario Saric, Alessandro Gentile, and Gigi Datome. Venezia FC is an Italian professional football club based in Venice, Veneto. Founded in 1907, Venezia has spent a large portion of its history in Serie A and Serie B, the top two divisions in Italian football. The club currently plays in Serie B, the second tier of Italian football. Venezia has won the Coppa Italia once, in 1941, and has also won the Serie B title three times. The club is also known for its successful youth academy, which has produced several notable players, including Christian Vieri, Matteo Brighi, and Giampaolo Pazzini.
