AS Monaco FC is a French football club based in Monaco, a principality located on the French Riviera in Western Europe. Founded in 1924, the club competes in Ligue 1, the top division of French football, and has become one of the most successful and popular clubs in France and Europe. AS Monaco has won seven French league titles and five French cups, as well as European trophies, including the UEFA Champions League in 2004. The club has a long-standing rivalry with its neighbor, Olympique de Marseille, and plays its home matches at the Stade Louis II in Fontvieille, Monaco.
PSV Eindhoven FC is a professional football club based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The club competes in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football, and is one of the most successful clubs in the country, having won the league 24 times, the KNVB Cup nine times and the Johan Cruyff Shield seven times. The club is also the most successful team in the history of the UEFA Cup/Europa League, having won the trophy twice. It is one of only three teams to have won all three major Dutch honours, alongside Ajax and Feyenoord.
