AC Milan FC is one of the most successful clubs in Italian and European football. Founded in 1899, they are one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the world. They have won more UEFA Champions League titles than any other Italian club, as well as 18 Serie A titles and seven Coppa Italia titles. They are also one of the most decorated teams in world football, having won a total of 30 domestic and international trophies. The team has also featured some of the greatest players of all time, such as Paolo Maldini, Ruud Gullit, and Andriy Shevchenko.
Udinese Football Club, commonly referred to as Udinese, is an Italian football club based in Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, that currently plays in Serie A, the top flight of Italian football. Founded in 1896, Udinese is the second oldest club in Italy, and is one of the most successful clubs in the country, having won the Serie A title in 2005–06, and finishing as runner-up in the following season. Udinese has also won the Coppa Italia twice, in 1985–86 and in 1990–91, as well as the Supercoppa Italiana in the same year. The club has also competed in European competitions, and has achieved moderate success in the UEFA Cup, reaching the quarter-finals in the 2003–04 season.
