Founded in 1997, the team currently competes in the J1 League, the top tier of Japanese football. Sagan Tosu has had a relatively successful history, with notable achievements including winning the Emperor's Cup in 2012 and finishing as runners-up in the J.League Cup in 2013. The team's colors are blue and white, and their home stadium is the Ekimae Real Estate Stadium.
