Brusque FC is a Brazilian football club based in the city of Brusque, Santa Catarina. They compete in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, which is the second division of Brazilian football. The club was founded in 1987 and has since gained recognition for its successes in regional competitions.
The Associação Esportiva e Recreativa Mirassol Futebol Clube, or simply Mirassol, is a Brazilian football team from Mirassol, São Paulo. It was founded on May 22, 1948.
The club is best known for winning the Campeonato Paulista in 2002, becoming the smallest club to achieve this feat in the competition's history.
History
The club was founded on May 22, 1948, by a group of friends led by José Carlos de Oliveira and José de Oliveira. The first official match was against a team from the city of Bauru, and Mirassol won by a score of 2–1. The club's first major accomplishment was winning the Campeonato Paulista Série A2 in 1998, after which they were promoted to the first division.
In 2002, Mirassol won the Campeonato Paulista, becoming the smallest club to achieve this feat in the competition's history. This accomplishment qualified the team for the Copa Libertadores for the first time in their history.
